thanks! but what about the branch-like things on k-nex pieces like this ?
like the space for the rod. do you say like branch 2 from left? if so wheres left? or like 90 degree branch ?

Personally, I would first state how to situate the piece (hold purple connector with missing space right and flat side south), then where to put the rod (put [color] rod in slot two from left).

I was just about to ask that same question.
I am aware that a couple of years ago, it was using a building set called "Googleplex".

And is Googleplex a product that's still sold? I looked on Amazon and found no results.

Definitely discontinued. Your best bet is to check Ebay which has sets on occasionally or to just sit down with your partner and the internet. Look up pictures and describe them to each other.

does anyone know how widi is run at nats? like is it run where you're not allowed to be within 4ft of it or allowed to walk around and then 10min into it the proctor rotates it? my partner and i have never practiced like that and the 4ft thing would kind of mess with me.
if anyone's wondering what googleplex is, this is what i got when i googled it....looks scary to write about. hopefully that's not what the nats widi is...

With this i dont think it will be, but theres always a chance, idk about last year, but a couple of times recently both b and c divisions have had googolplex
also used a couple of time @ nats were knex, and a lot of the state levels had them too.
