NY is a no-fireworks state, but that means absolutely nothing on the 4th.
There's still a few out there, but I'd say most stopped about a half hour ago.

I was in a parking lot fairly near to where the city fires off their fireworks, and if I looked in pretty much any direction I could see someone else's being sent off. It was kind of awesome.
And I agree with WWIII. Completely true.

You can't buy fireworks, or you can't set off fireworks? Because Illinois is a no-buy fireworks state, so people come over to Indiana in droves to buy their fireworks and take them back home to set them off.

Not true. You can't set off fireworks. Trust me, we try every year- and then we play hide from the cops in a barn while they circle and act like they don't know it is us. Unless the rules are different on the Illnois side of the St. Louis area or they have changed in the past year, then yeah no setting off fireworks. It's really funny where we do it because we are 5 minutes from St. Louis and you can buy fireworks there so everyone under the age of...50?(which, sadly, is not that many people)...are doing it.

Illinois is no-buy and no-use? Haha, then a LOT of people are breaking the rules.
EDIT: Did I just rhyme?!

No, I havent

I was over my neighbors house last night playing kickball in the street then all of a sudden everyone ran into the house to watch the fireworks on TV. I stayed outside though. I'll probably go down to Boston to watch them live next year since i only live 15 minutes from Boston.

Reviving this thread, seeing as it IS July 4th
The Fireworks around here suck so I'm just gonna watch the stream from the Esplanade in Boston.
