You can do that or submit a form that they have online for volunteers to sign up. The link is here: http://www.njscienceolympiad.org/volunteer/ Hope that helps!Unome wrote:Most likely you would just contact the regional director and ask them about it, although it may work differently in NJ (e.g. in NY it would probably be a more complicated process involving the state event supervisor). Lumosityfan can probably give you a more definite answer.kinghong1970 wrote:Thanks for the reply.lumosityfan wrote:Usually what happens is only a certain number of events from the state list will be run at regionals and then the full list of events will be run at states and nationals. seems the NJIT regioin has some interesting events for this year.
as for helping out with the regional events, what does it involve?
i would love to be of help if i can... only issue is that it is smack in the middle of my major traveling schedule... but thinking if there is way of juggling my schedule around a bit...
thanks again.

i'll see what i can do about my travel plans before making any commitment.

Re: New Jersey 2017
Well, technically it's just a tentative list, so anything could change. But, NJSO hasn't changed the event list a lot up to this point, so you can assume that the event list is final. (Still check on the website though for any changes)kinghong1970 wrote:thanks again.

Re: New Jersey 2017
Hey NJ teams!
Just a reminder that today is the last day to register for the Princeton University invitational tournament. Our tournament will be run exclusively by former Science Olympiad competitors and Princeton students, meaning that they know exactly what it was like to compete in these tournaments and events, and how to run events smoothly and according to the rules. This tournament is also organized by former Science Olympians, many of whom competed in NJ, who have had plenty experience with poorly-run events (such as NJ States...). We will definitely be trying to make this tournament experience the best for everyone. Further, this means that your coach will not need to worry about writing a test or running an event for this tournament.
Our registration can be found at our website here: http://www.princeton.edu/~scioly/ and the tournament date is Saturday, February 4th. If there's any questions email us at scioly@princeton.edu. If you feel your school might be interested in coming but will not be able to register in time, email us and we can work something out.
Hope to see you there!
