Well, from putting together a Fast Facts test for SSSS (look for it after rollover!)...

Brainstorm categories. Write them down somewhere. Create a word/google document with the categories and start listing things that apply for each letter (maybe even 2 or 3 things for each letter).

This is just how I'd start. There seems to be essentially infinite ways to organize everything. Just make sure you stay organized so you can find stuff easily when going back and reviewing. (I almost wonder about creating a spreadsheet, with letters as the rows and categories as the columns and go through filling them in).

One thing that really sets Fast Facts apart from Picture This is that FF can be much more independent (with picture this, you would need to try to find agreed upon drawings and symbols with your partner(s)). So in other words...

Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, etc.

Go back and review your lists often. Whenever you can. In the car. Out of the car. Before the start of class. After the start of class. The list never ends! (just like the list of potential categories, so you best get started!)

In competition, try to fill entire rows/columns, since it gives more points.

Read a bunch of textbooks, and if you can, try to be with a partner that covers your weaknesses.
