According to Unome's previous post and SOPomo's AMA the biomes are Tundra, Taiga, and Grasslands.

That was based off of what I heard of the draft rules (from SOPomo). I've heard more recently that it is now Deciduous Forest, and Grasslands has been moved to 2018.

Hmm, it looks like you're right. The introduction powerpoint says tundra and forests of North America.

Straight from the official handbook: "
Part 2: Terrestrial Ecosystems
i. Ecology of Tundra, Taiga, and Deciduous Forests (next year's focus: Deserts and Grasslands)"

to clear up the confusion

stoked for this event ^o^

Hi,

Last year, I got the AP Environmental Science textbook for Green Generation. But, the terrestrial sections weren't as detailed as they should have been. Does anyone know of any online textbooks/handouts that contain specific material on terrestrial ecosystems? Thanks!

I used this website http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/glossary/gloss5/biome/ to study terrestrial biomes. Also, the Ecology/Green Generation CDs contain a terrestrial biomes packet that reviews the biomes.

Hey guys,
I'm a bit confused over the land percentage the tundra and taiga take up. Some sites say that the tundra takes up 20% of the Earth's surface (which seems sketchy), but most sites say the taiga is the biggest land biome and takes up 17% of the Earth's land. What's going on? Is it about the surface part (which includes water maybe)?

Oh hey! Another Washingtonian! Awesome! I hope you and your team do well this year, moumantai!

P.S. Inglemoor is looking really strong this year. I know some of the new sophomores up there. ;) Best of luck to you both!
