Re: Colleges
What are some ideas for questions to ask at college visits?

Re: Colleges
What opportunities do you have for research?
What is the college's transfer policy on AP or IB credits?
Do you have a core curriculum program? What is it like?
Most important question if you want to get into that college:
How can I schedule another college visit of a specific facility or program?

Re: Colleges
It depends on what you're interested in. If you're interested in doing research at a school, ask if the professor is doing any research and if you can maybe have a look at their experiment or spend a few minutes in their lab. I asked a neurobiology professor if he was doing any research after a college tour and he spent an hour with me in his lab explaining all about the neuroanatomy of tadpoles and bullfrogs, including all the equipment he was using. If you're interested in liberal arts or classwork, ask the professor if you can visit one of his classes in the future or see some of the assignments and/or papers that are being done in class.

Re: Colleges
haha...like the quote tigerman
anyways, ive been on a few college visits. i always think you should worry about getting into the college first, so ask them stuff like...
do they see you within your school environment or compare you to others?..i mean, all schools work differently, right? AP english in one state could be the easiest class, whereas in another state it might be the hardest...
i remember one kid asking how much sleep they got over weekdays....
anything that your concerned about with admissions, financial aid, etc.
