Nobody's posted in a while, so I guess I'll go.

1. Identify the genus.
2. What is its mode of feeding?
3. What were the holes and appendages used for?
4. Give a common nickname for this specimen.
5. True or False: Members of this genus had very good eyesight.

Cryptolithus, filter feeder, to aid with filter feeding (trilobite would slap its appendages and that would move the water through the holes and Cryptolithus gets to eat), Lace Collar trilobite, false (no eyes)

Also I didn't post anything to my previous question cause no one answered all parts

My favorite prompt: What happened during the KT Extinction? Be sure to mention the most common theories and their evidence along with generic facts about the extinction.

Dinosaurs became extinct, along with 60% of the Cretaceous plant species and marine plankton. Some common theroies are: a super eruption of a volcano( like Yellowstone), a large meteor contacting Earth off the Yuatan Pennisula, general evniormental changes like change in oxygen and CO2 levels. The extinction of dinos allowed mammals to evolve. I think that's about it... :?:

What is the important paleontological site in CA? Be sure to include where in CA it is, what type of fossilization occurs, and what fossils have been found there.
