EDIT: There isn't a point in modifying a rocket after launch, see rule 2: "only 1 launch per rocket." I think if you modify it after check-in but before a launch, it will have to be reinspected for compliance to construction parameters.

Double-posting because competitors who have already seen the previous reply might not see this edit.

What is the best length for the rocket and what's the best amount of water?

Most images in the image gallery show shorter rockets, but the pictures in Best of Nationals and elsewhere of high-performing rockets all seem to show longer rockets (not that I've ever taken this event, so my information probably has some errors).

Okay. Thanks!

what kind of fins do you think are better, the straight ones, or the slightly slanted ones that make the rocket spin?

So for the egg when you put in the rocket after it is launched how do u take it out when they check for the breakage like do u have to open up your rocket or what?

Tomorrow is when I launch my two rockets to just try to get on the team xD Because of the egg (it's inside another bottle that's attatched to the nose) it will most likely nosedive, however if I add weight to the fins, I think it may drag it down. I added weight, but for my other rocket I did not. This is a shot in the dark though, really, I did some research but I'm still very doubtful about myself :?

Well they provide the eggs at the event, so you'll need some way of opening the rocket and putting the egg in.

Any idea of what times to expect from these rockets with the egg in them? They will be heavier than last years', so I don't know how to figure out of my design is any good.
