If people complained about the 1 piece of paper for oceans maybe theyd change it back, but probably theyd make a sheet of paper again (which kinda sucks, cause after listing the Richter and Modified Mercali scales, there's not gonna be a lot of room for stuff)

i think they'll do a binder the first year, then a sheet the next, because its usually the same people that do it each year, unless they graduate, so you learn it the 1st year, and then have to do most of it from memory the next

I really hope they allow binders. The single sheet of paper last year was a pain.

I also hope they do binders however both me and my partner are very knowledgeable about earthquakes and volcanoes so we will do just fine without binders. This will be the last year that both me and my partner for this event will be doing science olympiad so the whole learn the first year and do it from memory the next doesnt really work out for my team.

Still though, when you have the scales (richter and modified mercali) which theyre bound to ask stuff on, theres not much room to write stuff.

Wow, that diagram earlier in this thread wasn't in depth...The random stuff in my 7th grade teacher's classroom are more in-depth. Note the random... I really liked learning stuff on volcanoes and earthquakes, my teacher showed us a video of a bunch of French dudes. I googled them when I got home, turned out they died in a pyroclastic explosion somewhere in Japan.
GO GALVIN MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!!!
my 08 events:
Anatomy - 2nd place
Amphibians and Reptiles - 2nd place
Food Science - 5th place
these were fun.
