Re: Scrambler C
Like fishman100 said, the track is still straight. However, the bonus is quite substantial, 5 seconds subtracted from time or 50 cm subtracted from displacement
You'll see what I mean when you get the rules XD. Should make for an interesting designs.

Re: Scrambler C
I don't believe that is a correct interpretation of the rules. They merely mention an obstacle that could potentially get in the way but one that a very straight-running (and fairly narrow) car should have no problem passing straight by.
I assume this was done to encourage accuracy in the design. Last year, at least at regionals, it appeared that ninety percent of the efforts were put into the braking mechanism and far less in the precision of the wheels and axles. I may be wrong though.

This matches my interpretation of this year's rules, but I feel that the obstacle is too small and only inhibits ETVs that curve left.joeyjoejoe wrote:I don't believe that is a correct interpretation of the rules. I think y'all should re-read rules 3.e, 4.e and especially 5.d. It's definitely not an just an obstacle. Also note that this year high score wins, not low score.

Re: Scrambler C
NUMBER ONE RULE: READ THE RULES. GOODLY. XD
But yeah, like iwonder says, it explicitly has a bonus there. What else could the bonus be for? Reread and read again.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
