Last year for the amphibians and reptiles test there was like 3 questions on the teenage mutant Ninja Turtles... One was like what kind of turtle was ____ from the episode_____. My partner and I kinda just like stopped at stared at it. So we were like freaking out about what to put cause we didnt have much time left. So I think we put chicken turtle or something. When we told our coach she didnt believe us.
now that's just mean!!! I would hope that they didnt count that one. The person running the event might have put it on there so she could see teams freaking out over it but then not count it. That would be mean.
Last year at states my coach had all of our stuff with him such as the tower, goggles, the trajectory, my field guides, and so on. So i was sitting in our homeroom looking at the clock. It was now 30 minutes before our first event block started and still no sign of my coach nor my team. I was worrying about my 500 page field guide because I still needed to finish it and i was hoping to do that in homeroom but i couldnt because my coach wasnt there. Eventually my coach came along with the rest of my team. It was now 15 minutes until the first event block and my room was total chaos. No one knew what events they were going to AND no one had a schedule for the day except for me. my coach then took my schedule so they could go impound the trajectory. While they were doing that i was sitting there working on my field guide. I then look up at the clock and it read 9:00 and that's when the first event block started. No one knew that though because no one had a schedule. I knew my first event was meteorology so i find my partner and then start looking for my coach. Eventually I find him and ask him for my schedule and he's like what schedule?? he looks through his bag and finds it. It's now 9:05 and me and my partner leave the building to go sprint over to the testing building. half way there my partner asks me if we have our sheet with us and i'm like "uhhhhh??" so we sprint back up to the room to find it. We found it so now i was sprinting back to the testing room with my 5 inch field guide trying to keep it safe from the snow that was falling. Eventually we get into the meteorology room covered in snow like 15 minutes late. The event supervisors were pigeon at us. So we quietly take our seat and i put my field guide down and the supervisor gave us our test and then gave me this look and said "uhh i dont think you can use that.." and i was like "oh i know, that's for another event. I'll put it on the floor" then we took out our meteorology paper and started the event. The entire time we were being stared at by the event supervisor.
There was this one question where we had to fill in a chart and neither me nor my partner had any clue what it was talking about so we just filled in random numbers
