Heh, this'll be fun. Syo may be at Stoga and Athens this year, hope we are! Still need to do forms and all, so we'll see. I'm not fully sure, but I think for bringing an event literally the coach just makes the test and then brings a bunch of copies for everybody at the invitational. Is that confusing/wrong?

That's what I thought, but I'm still not certain. And what if we can't? Or, like, the test is really bad or something? :x

Well, as long as you bring some kind of test (doesn't have to be an incredibly good one), you're fine. And eh, I think if you/your team/your coach REALLY doesn't want to write a test, there are always builds to supervise...

Well, okay. I don't actually know what our coach wants to do, but I'm asking for the sake of having that information. :)

I really hope our team can make it.
The only problem would be bringing in an event... How does that work, exactly? Our team doesn't have experience in that regard.
At most invitational and many regional and state competitions the tests that you take are made by coaches of the participating teams and then these same coaches supervise the event. This does put a high demand of these volunteers who not only have to grade an exam, but also need to create an exam. This is why from one competition to another you can see a variety of styles and difficulties in tests from the same event. Also this is part of the reason that you can occasionally find yourself in a room taking a test that can be found online from years ago as a supervisor might just take one of these and reuse them. NY regional and state competitions are run a little different with state supervisors having more influence over regional tests.

If your coach does not feel experienced enough to write a test they could still run non-written test events or only judge an event rather than supervising.

Thank you very much! I will communicate this to my team and coach. I really hope that we can attend the invitational.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. It's been a very well-run, friendly invitational.
