Knowing the concepts inside and out. General chem knowledge helps too. Even as somebody who is currently tutoring AP Chemistry, my teammate and I will have a hard time here in Maryland. It is insanely competitive.

Hey guys! So this is my first year in division C, but I've competed in division B for 4 years. The national website doesn't have good information on this event, does anyone have any website suggestions or books I could get to study? Thanks!

I suggest any AP Chemistry textbook/AP Chemistry review book

I believe in my case it was the second. However, if they do give you a choice of indicator, then they will also almost certainly give you enough information about the indicators and the substances involved for you to pick the proper one.

Shouldn't the rules read "colorimeter" instead of "calorimeter" in 4a? I don't think they're trying to imply thermodynamics/thermochemistry is part of the event...
