It's funny; I have a horrible bug phobia and I freak out when I see them, but I was actually pretty good at the event and I even enjoyed it a bit. My love for ID events outweighed my hatred for insects. That didn't stop me from flipping out when they gave us a live roach at states though >.>
Edit: the full roach name was apparently blocked by the sensors and renamed "butterfly" by the filter. I didn't freak out about a butterfly, I freaked out about a member of the order Blattodea.
My least favorite event has to be Can't Judge a Powder. Almost every powder they give you is a boring white powder that barely reacts with anything. I know the purpose of the event is to get used to writing down observations, but you could write down hundreds of observations and still not have the 10 or 15 that they ask about on the test, negating all of the work that you did in the first half. I've also seen the test range from stupidly easy (only the basic three reagents at Nationals) to unfairly difficult (SIX reagents at Nationals). Both extremes are bad, but nothing sucks more than having to test six reagents and only getting through 4 of them, and having every single question on the test be on the 2 we didn't get to. That was messed up. But overall, the event is just really boring and monotonous, and requires way too much writing that won't even be assessed.

If I get Entomology next year, I will scream.
I wanted to do CJAP but maybe I should not. I would probably replace CJAP with Experimental.

I am incredibly afraid of insects... I don't know how next year's going to go!
I can't believe I'm saying this (especially after hearing gneissisnice complain about the event IN PERSON), but I really want CJAP. I don't know why, it just seems like something I'd be good at.

Haha, don't let my complaints stop you. Someone's gotta do it anyway, and some people do like it. I just don't, personally.
I'll help with Entomology next year. It's ok, I'm terrified of insects and I still managed to do well.

Along with Entomology, I HATE the macro-invertebrates of Water Quality. This year, my partner studied the bugs while I studied Ecology.

Even though I've never done the event, I dislike Write It Do It because it's so difficult even for good teams to be very consistent in the event. I realize that there is much value in technical writing skills, but I don't think that the event as it is currently implemented is the best way to test them.
