Cell Bio is definitely not like AP Bio because it's only about cells!!! (not evolution). But, it is rather difficult event because you have to memorize the main enzymes and other proteins and how they work ( I 
ATP synthase.) I would recommend reading the Cells section of an AP Bio book and buy a book that is solely about cells (college lvl).
I guess everyone has a basic understanding of all the things in the rules sheet (from Honors Bio or AP) and it might save you at regionals and maybe at states (depending on your state), but nationals....no way!!!
Although as someone mentioned above...the proctor might add something random like science jokes...so just be prepared for more "out-of-the-way" things.

My current textbook for my bio class (honors level, research based) is called Molecular Biology of the Cell. I LOVE this book and wish I had it as a reference for this event. It is probable a little beyond what you actually need, but it has everything in it. We have used it to cover Biochemistry, Genetics, and Cell Biology. It is a bit expensive (It's a college textbook, what do you expect?), but if you are interested it is definitely worth it. I have a feeling I won't be selling this one back anytime soon.

"The CELL" yea!! that's the book i was talking about (college lvl.) It truely is an amazing book, gene girl!!!

my school doesn't offer AP bio so I was stuck in a class with people who didn't understand that there's a difference between organelles and enzymes!! I used it to study two years ago (before I even took biology) and I placed fifth with this girl who was put with me because my partner got sick. I love that book

Do we need to memorize all the enzymes in the Citric Acid Cycle?
