I agree, it's one of the better wikis on the site (if not the best).EASTstroudsburg13 wrote:The [wiki]Meteorology/Everyday Weather[/wiki] can serve as a general guide for learning the basic parts of the event. To do better, you have to do some more research outside, but most of the foundation is there.

Re: Meteorology B
Yeah, I also did for four years, could've done it this year too, but I didnt want to be on middle school team this year. Remote sensing has some meteorology, not nearly as fun though as the real meteorology event, so I ended up not doing SO at all.Mr Sarcastic wrote:My fourth year in Meteorology... Re: Meteorology B
My first year on Meteorology! Any tips on what and how to study and what the different test will be like? Great! Can you send me some sites that might be good for this topic?

Re: Meteorology B
I suggest reading the Meteorology Wiki, obtaining a college textbook on Meteorology and reading it, and taking as many practice tests as possible.

I don't know if it's just me or not, but that link (or the one that EAST posted for the matter) isn't working. So, anyway, here's the wiki link for those that need/needed it:Saturiea wrote:I suggest reading the Meteorology Wiki, obtaining a college textbook on Meteorology and reading it, and taking as many practice tests as possible.

Oh yeah, it appears the formatting has yet to carry over. That can be fixed, though.

Re: Meteorology B
What do you guys think is a good way to practice cloud id? I make flashcards.

Re: Meteorology B
I study vocab using flashcards, and study clouds by remembering the "look" of each type of cloud (if that makes any sense...).

Re: Meteorology B
Yeah, usually on the test they will give you a picture of a cloud to id it (though they might ask you random questions about the clouds), so I would say getting the visual of the cloud is a better way to study then using flashcards.14sarah wrote:I study vocab using flashcards, and study clouds by remembering the "look" of each type of cloud (if that makes any sense...).
