The [wiki]Meteorology/Everyday Weather[/wiki] can serve as a general guide for learning the basic parts of the event. To do better, you have to do some more research outside, but most of the foundation is there.

I agree, it's one of the better wikis on the site (if not the best).

Yeah, I also did for four years, could've done it this year too, but I didnt want to be on middle school team this year. Remote sensing has some meteorology, not nearly as fun though as the real meteorology event, so I ended up not doing SO at all.

I suggest reading the Meteorology Wiki, obtaining a college textbook on Meteorology and reading it, and taking as many practice tests as possible.

What do you guys think is a good way to practice cloud id? I make flashcards.

I study vocab using flashcards, and study clouds by remembering the "look" of each type of cloud (if that makes any sense...).

Yeah, usually on the test they will give you a picture of a cloud to id it (though they might ask you random questions about the clouds), so I would say getting the visual of the cloud is a better way to study then using flashcards.
