Personally, I don't think I would have the energy to meet people after the ceremony.

Yeah, after awards, some teams would opt to go to the dance/party, while others would opt to head straight back to their dorm/hotel. Thus I think that the swap meet is the best chance for everyone to be in the same place at the same time with minimal chaos.

Sure! I think it would be best if someone actually held the banner up high -- it would eliminate the problem of hanging up the banner, and also perhaps increase visibility.
Who's going to hold up the banner? Also, how big is the banner anyways?

I would suggest multiple meet up times throughout the festivities. Perhaps once at the swap meet, once at awards, maybe even a meet-up spot throughout the day for whenever people have breaks. This way people who can't go to one (or forget to) still have other opportunities to meet people besides the off-chance of meeting someone at an event.

Lol, we don't have a banner yet. :P Someone's going to have to take the initiative to make one, and even if nobody does, it shouldn't be too hard to find the Main Entrance of UCF Arena at 9 p.m. anyway. :)
