Well, I personally expect Solon, Centerville, Harriton, New Trier Winnetka, West Windsor Plainsboro, LASA, and probably Troy to do well this year in C.
And Solon, Marie Murphy, Daniel Wright, Magsig, Muscatel, Winston Churchill, and Strath Haven to do well in B.

In SoCal, I would say there are maybe 3 National level teams in B division (Muscatel, Mesa Verde, and Carmel Valley, maybe Black Mountain), and 4-5 in C division (Troy, Canyon Crest, North Hollywood, Arcadia, and Northwood). They all could probably place in top 10-15; I doubt if that many other teams could.

Define "national-worthy". Does that mean top 10?
I mean top 15.

I'm not even so sure that Solon might take the B Division. I know, shocking. I think it might actually be Muscatel Middle School, considering their amazing showing at the SoCal State competition. They placed in every single event, literally, ending up with an astounding 52 points. The second place school didn't even come close; they were 80 points behind, and they are a good school as well.
Beckendorff JH in Texas did the same...although we ended up with 50 points. Maybe that's just because Texas isn't as competitive though.
We won state last year by 71 or 72 points.. I can't remember how much exactly. And then we got 21st at nationals. Just saying...
And yes, watch out for the almighty ExCEL at nationals!!!

I don't expect much from my own team, and neither do I decently know any history of Nationals except for what I read.

However, we landed a 68 points at State, winning over second place which had 69.

Not to rain on everyone's parade, but having a large margin of points between 1st and 2nd might just mean lesser competition. Not saying that the 2nd place team isn't good, but sometimes, you just do very well. Still, this year seems to be a good one competitively.

i honestly really want to see somebody besides Solon win in at least one division, if not both. It doesn't even have to be my team. that would be great though  I hope we can maybe get top ten though.*knock on wood* jk I'm not superstitious at all.

EDIT: Please do not be offended if you are from Solon. I have lots of respect for you

They did last year. Beat Centerville by 6 points, who is also from Ohio. So let's just say that we want a state other than Ohio to win the National Championships, yeah?
