Anyone up on pop culture from the 60s should have figured this out in a second... of course, the problem is most people on here aren't huge on pop culture, excepting, say... sweetcoop, if you know what I mean.

And thus the march to the end of the world begins.

The day began like any other day. Riots were in the streets, politicians were huddled in the Scioly Capitol Building, and scientists were busy analyzing the new threat of the end of the world. I peeked out from my balcony, watching the chaos with delight in my eyes. Yes, it would be easy pickings, but I resolved to work methodically. I put on my disguised, and walked to the local police station. I handed the doorman a slip of paper, and told him to give it to the chief.
It read:

When I bombed the Jack Union, (a popular hangout in Sciolyville) I saw stars. And a ghost called Jimmy.
You have 48 hours. I will greet my victim at 11:30 PM GMT Saturday.

Well, Jack Union = Union Jack = Flag of the UK.

Also:
One theory is that the "Jack" part of the name may also have come from the name of King James I/James VI of Scotland.
Jimmy could possibly be James. Just supporting the theory.

However, a federal vessel flag, also called "Union Jack" had stars. Which correlates with part of the clue.

... Or the Australian flag which is the Union Jack with stars.

Well Jack Union obviously means Union Jack, and bombing could refer to any war involving Britain, but stars made me think of the War of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner. Zyzzya? But I don't see how a ghost called Jimmy would relate
