It seems virtually identical to the 2008 list. I didn't notice any differences. (Though I think Limonite is new.
Life List: n. A list of bird species definitively seen by a birdwatcher.

and yeah, its very similar, but its OFFICIAL!!!
No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

Yep, most changes are usually written in bold. So I believe Limonite is the only new one.

Yep, most changes are usually written in bold. So I believe Limonite is the only new one.
I believe Limonite was on the old list as well; not sure why it's bolded.

Does anyone have any tips on identifying rocks such as Calcite or Barite? The large variance in color is throwing me off.

you can't just use color, you have to use as many properties as possible in cases like these...

I mean, for sure I'm going to be trying to use alternative properties.

But just from pictures (because I don't have access to samples yet) how would you differentiate these two?
