I guess you could practice building over the summer, based off of previous years. Then when the new rules come out, you might have a head start. Worst case, if what you practice is nothing like what they want for the new season, you'll be starting at the same place as everyone else. Plus I hope I can infer that it's kinda fun for you just to build stuff if you're gunna do engineering events, right?questionguy wrote:Is there any way to prepare for an engineering event over the summer, or would it be too risky?

Just make sure that the building event you're practicing for is an actual event thoughNinjaChicken wrote:I guess you could practice building over the summer, based off of previous years. Re: Summer SO Preperation
A bunch of people on our team are going to study over the summer, because we basically call dibs on our events when the season ends. However, we usually wait off for building events because their rules/parameters change usually. I'm personally gonna keep brushing up on dynamic planet, study my powders and learn some new topics for forensics, and get started on water quality.

Let's see...if I read correctly, then the topics for Astronomy are staying the same.
Time to start! Along with Remote Sensing, Forestry, and maybe Mousetrap Vehicle...

What have you heard about Forensics? I heard mixtures are in next year..personasaurus rex wrote:A bunch of people on our team are going to study over the summer, because we basically call dibs on our events when the season ends. Haha like you said, make sure the building events are actual events! lol. I thought Wheeled Vehicle was replacing Mousetrap?fishman100 wrote:Let's see...if I read correctly, then the topics for Astronomy are staying the same.

I hope Wheeled Vehicle is coming back. I have lots of great Wheeled Vehicle pictures in the gallery from 2007....NinjaChicken wrote: Haha like you said, make sure the building events are actual events! lol. I thought Wheeled Vehicle was replacing Mousetrap?

Re: Summer SO Preperation
I guess I'll just get together material and whatnot for the year. My coaches are going to the thingie at Arizona in the summer, so I should have a head start on the rules, and only then will I start studying. Also, does anyone know if it's going to stay foodborne disease next year for Disease Detectives?
