I'm eager to check out the vids--no time now--but I'm planning something goofy like that for...one of these days.

Are you the guy singing? Or the piano guy? Or the guitar player?

But you don't know what I look like because no one taped the middle school awards at the invitational in Frogger's (I was helping give them out).aubrey048 wrote:Now I know what you look like! BWAHAHAHA! (Currently I know what . . . four other fellow Sciolyers look like!)

Re: Crazy things in Science Olympiada
well once in so class we all got bored and made ourselves duct tails,
in seventh grade our coach freaked out because we were using *gasp* power tools to modify our robocross robot
my friend had foot surgery so at the end of class we would ride around the class on her knee scooter
we got our coach to play napolean dynamite music
we got a picture of ourselves with our coach wearing a hamburger hat
coach freaked out again when they couln't find us at the museum we went to before states... we were in a giant heart!
at hotel we went to before states there was a pile of poop in the hallway outside the elevator and I stepped in it.
most epic of all though is our other coach who likes to give us long speeches that are about, as far as we can tell, nothing. you represent hamilton middle school, you represent your family, you represent your team, you represent hamilton, you represent all the little towns around hamilton, you represent your grade level, you represent your friends. we have heard this speech so many times we have to look down and away from eachother so we won't laugh. afterwards we remind eachother that we represent all of our 5th cousins twice removed, and our neighbor's cat. he is kind of an odd duck. he also wears a shirt that says college. just "college"

Re: Crazy things in Science Olympiada
i forgot...
at competitions we bring the school van (which is pretty epic itself) with the seats taken to haul the building events around in. once we get to a competition our coach drives all the people in building events around in it to impound. we've had up to 15 people, along with all of the battery buggies, jyc boxes, storm the castle devices, and towers from our four teams.
anyway, last year at regionals my friend was in junkyard challenge, finished late, and was running to her next event when our coach pulled up, literally onto the curb, yelled to about ten seventh graders in the back: get out, get out, get out, and to her: get in, get in, get in. When she got in he proceeded to make a U-turn in the middle of the road into on coming traffic, sped down the road to her building, parking in an area that said no parking, tried to open a door, which was locked, ran to the next door and up three flights of stairs with her, and burst into the crimebusters room, which happened to berun by our other, sort-of coach who looked at them witha pergectly straight face and said: you're late, take a seat.
Everybody on our team thought that this was wildy funny, but I told my mom, and she looked at me like I was stupid. so if you don't think its funny, sorry. but just picture it...

Re: Crazy things in Science Olympiada
Unless I am bad at imagining the size of your van i am confused as to how you all fit. Our team takes up a whole big bus on the way to state.
