quartz is a mineral that can come in many different varieties, including amethyst.
Also for thought process
in my mind, silicate = quartz so I got "quartz is a mineral that" right away. I saw the pattern for different and just filled in the blanks with that many letters known

The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.
thought process:
I guessed based off of frequency for "T" and then saw "The strength", "each"

My answer:
It is impossible to live in the past, difficult to live in the present and a waste to live in the future.
Explanation:
Whenever you see an aristocrat starting with letters in the format ab ac its usually "it is" and you solve from there
Here's a Caesar/Shift Cipher encoded with an unknown shift:
Xli qcwxivc sj pmji mwr'x e tvsfpiq xs wspzi. Mx'w e viepmxc xs ibtivmirgi.

It's another Frank Herbert quote because I like Dune too.

the mystery of life isn't a problem to solve. it's a reality to experience.
solve path:
i got "Mx'w e" as "it's a" and solved from there.
shift as hint:
shift of 4
