awww yeaaaa
Are you kidding me? "too long" is an awful way to judge a movie. Are you rating Transformers 1 or 2? And Iron man 1 or 2? None of those deserve 10s or even 9s or 8s.

If you didn't know, one of my favorite movies was Dances with Wolves, directed by Kevin Costner. To me, the script felt like an exact copy of the 1990 classic, except with blue Navi people replacing the Sioux Indians. The characters seemed lacking in any real background or formation, and although the CGI was breathtaking, it made me feel like it was too advanced for its time. I saw it in 3-D (gotta love those glasses) but I might have seen a total of 5 3-D effects the entire movie - complete waste of time. I wanted to see more of Jake's past, but it only gave me glimpses, and I wanted to know more.
Besides that rant, it was a pretty good movie, but not one James Cameron's best, and not one I'd be so sure to recommend. Yes, I would, but don't blame me if you feel the urge to throw copyright infringement papers at Cameron.
I actually really enjoyed Avatar. I thought it was one of those movies that you needed to see on the big screen, because it just wasn't the same at home. The effects were INCREDIBLE. I actually enjoy making movies of my own, and have tried to do CGI with professional level software. It's ridiculously hard, and I think this made me appreciate it even more. I recommend seeing it only if it is in theaters, and only if you don't care about the plot, because there were some moments that literally made me gasp from how incredible they were.

Agreed with pretty much everything there... I really enjoyed the CGI's but was greatly disappointed with the plot. See it but only in theaters!

While I agree that length is a bad way to judge a movie, lets remember that this thread is for our own opinions and that we are supposed to be writing REVIEWS, not just giving scores and stuff.

I guess I'll review Harry Potter 7.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 1 (2010)
Score- 9.5/10
I cannot find any major fault with this movie. It is breathtaking visually, the love between Ron and Hermione is very well done, and it adheres to the plot of the book very well. The only flaws are that they left out the Dumbledore subplot and that Daniel Radcliffe, despite being a perfect choice for Harry, doesn't do anger very well. It is a fitting finale for the epic tale of Harry Potter.

I like the movie but it was rather slow.
I give it still a 10/10

The movie Wall-e stole one of it's theme songs from the movie Brazil, that was made many years sooner.

If time was frozen and then unfrozen, how long was it frozen for?
How come it is called the Secret Service if everyone knows about it?

Inception (2010)
Rating: 9.5/10
Inception is a breath of fresh air in a world where good movies are few. Just by watching you can tell that every aspect of the movie was made with meticulous detail. The special effects are breathtaking and dazzling and pure eye candy. Several scenes will make you ask how they did it. The plot is perfectly paced and not easily predicted. This is not a movie for those who want mindless entertainment- you have to pay attention to catch everything. The music deserves a rating of its own, however it can be summed in one word: "amazing". Watch the movie once, and then watch it again and pay attention to the music- did you notice what they did there with Non, Rein Je Re Reggete Rein? The only problem with this movie that I can find is the characters. Perfect casting, perfect acting, unique characteristics, yet the script misses that key point of making the audience connect with each character. The only two characters you can easily sympathize with are Cobb and Fischer.

Summery: Watch it twice, then watch it again. Each time you pick up on something else. The movie will play with your mind the whole time, and will leave you with that "Wow" feeling few movies leave you with anymore.
I just watched this again last night. Holy Crap.

I've seen it 9 times now and that's how I feel each time. What did you think of the music? Did you catch all the little things? Sneaky sneaky producers! :)
Also, "Non, Rein Je Re Reggete Rein" loosely translates to "No, I have no regrets" which I find very ironic in this movie.

Soccerkid, I think we'd appreciate it if you substantiated all these ratings with something resembling a well though out review like what brobo did?
