Wow, it's obvious that you've put a lot of thought into this! I just have one question... where does everyone start?

That information will be released shortly. Mr. X will be RandomPerson. (Sorry brobo, but I have my reasons)

Your positions are now on the map. The game begins now. Mr. X may make his move whenever he wishes.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, to keep this game from running long, turns are limited to two days. If you don't make a move in two days, I'll move you based on where the other detectives want you to go. If three turns pass without a certain detective posting, that detective will be replaced.

Sorry about not going yesterday, I was swamped with work. I will make my turn shortly.
Edit: that image is rather blurry, here is a much better one: http://i55.tinypic.com/qmxddy.jpg

Mr. X has traveled by TAXI. Detectives may now make their moves.

My theory is that Mr. X was placed an equal distance from all the officers. Look at the chart- there's an odd looking hole near 167 where no one is placed, and yet the officers are strewn around there. Most likely that is where Mr. X is- somewhere in that area. If I were Mr. X, I would make a beeline to the waterway, and thus I shall do the same. I will move to space 67. It might be a good idea for red and yellow to cover the top corners, though, and green to hang around where he is for the time being.

I shall take a taxi to 15 with intention of taking the top right corner.

You can't move that far in a single turn. You have to stop at each stop along the way. Slow, yes, but it's the rules. To get to 15 from 40, you'd have to go through 27 and 26. Sorry.
