For NY States... Are we full hands-on for chemistry events? All paper? Hydrometer? Cold water stage of a sugar solution? I do not see any mention on the NYS site (or maybe I am just getting old and am missing it).

Does anyone knows if there will be a lab hands-on component at states?

I do not believe it is specified. Due to Chem Lab rule 2a asking participants to bring safety equipment, I would bring all the necessary materials needed for a hands-on lab, as well as prepare to perform different kinds of labs. My guess is that if there is one, it will most likely be a titration lab (suggested by Chem Lab rule 2c).

I believe it's one of those couple times a year I post...Late since I sadly didn't get to be there or too involved with states this year because of some personal matters, but I did still write the astro test this year. I didn't get any messages yesterday, so I just hope the competition went well for all who competed!

A Storm the Castle question for teams participating at the April 8/9 NYS State Div B tournament at the East Syracuse Minoa High School: Does anyone know if this event will be run in a room or the gym? It would help to know if we need to modify for a low ceiling (which I am hearing on scioly.org can be a problem).
