My comment wasn't meant to be too seriously, I suppose I should have made that clearer. Your average shoot 'em up or RPG won't help you most of the time in an event, but several video games- FueL has shown us one example, can help. It's not as precise as a laser, but it's a start.

Really, you have the draft rules? How do they differ from the trial event rules
here?

The big things are the extra resources you'll be allowed and that it's divided into one specific lab and one test, from what I've seen.

This is the event this year that I expect to love. Kinda like shock value last year, but I ended up not loving that so much because the rules really limited what was allowed to be on the test. C division will definitely be more challenging though

Just got my rules; this event is going to be awesome. They've added a "laser shoot" for part three of the event, where you have to reflect a laser off a mirror to hit a target.

I heard about that, sounds really fun! I haven't gotten my copy just yet though...

No, it hasn't been an event to my knowledge. It's about the study of light.

Optics was an event back in 2001. It was the topic of Physics Lab that year.

it was also a trial event at nationals in 2010. i wonder if they are still keeping the "any calculator" rule.
