While I personally know Starpug as a genuinely nice guy, I have to agree with the last poster. To make offhand remarks about vuvuzelas is tantamount to slapping an entire culture. I for one will do my best to raise the integrity of this forum and keep it free of such slanderous filth.

Just start a business that makes a product everyone wants/ needs.
It's foolproof, trust me.
Step 1
I'd corner the market in Vuvuzelas, then blast them at countries until they surrender.
I am of African descent, and vuvuzelas are a large part of my culture. i find it very insulting, and i feel personally attacked by the attitude of starpug, I hope that someday the Science Olympiad community will be a fair and just place to all races of people on this earth.
I had not attention to insult you or your culture, I was merely referring to the publicity the instrument has received lately at the World Cup. I was attempting to make a joke, and I didn't intend to go to far.

I accept your apology, and understand that some people do not like the vuvuzelas that are being used in the world cup, but make sure that you respect all other peoples cultures, as that is the spirit of science olympiad

It's a quote from J. Robert Oppenheimer. He was one of the people that worked on the Manhattan project, and when he saw the first test, he recited that line, which is from the Bhagavad Gita.

thank you for taking my side in this argument and keeping me from feeling so left out of the science olympiad experience. thanks to your approval, I feel once again like I belong here.
