Ubuntu (besides 10.04) and Debian are tailored to look at least some what like a Windows OS.

I started up with OS 7 and Windows 3.1 to todays newest OS from both Microsoft and Apple. Macs are easier to figure out a problem than Windows is from my years of experience with both types of OS. Look at OS upgrade. Macs are much simpler to upgrade the OS than Windows.

Also about the games thing. I will agree that there are plenty more games available for Windows, but in the past month Steam became available on Mac and Valve has started releasing Source games for Mac. Interesting development in the Gaming realm for Mac.

Ok got the point and yea its true, if you know what you are doing you might not get a virus but im talking in general, of course Bill Gates has no viruses in his pc cuz he knows how to operate. but lets look at it at an OS perspective Windows is more common seen with viruses than Mac's thats all i am saying and also windows needs much more maintenance ( cleanup system every once in a while, defrag, etc) while Mac's not relly..... now of course for the money i don't mind running a few tasks every once in a while, i still don't justify paying almost double just for this.... Capich!

Not always stable, but lightweight, usually user-friendly, compatible with thousands of easy to install linux programs and tons of new windows programs, virus and hacker proof, and producer of stunning visual effects. However given only two choices I would say windows is more cost-effective and easier to use than Macs. Also in my experience Mac OSes are less stable.

Give me one reason (im serious, so legit plz) why a mac is better than a Windows computer even though it costs 2-4 times as much, depending on the situation.

And viruses? Give me a break. I've used computers for about 9 years now (not all the time but you get the point) and have NEVER gotten a computer infected with a virus. So i don't see what the big deal is.

If I say I like windows would you change your votes to mac?

yes, jk. windows is the best in my opinion for most things. also, the only reason PCs have more viruses is because there are more of them.
