The school trip to France got canceled when they were scheduled to leave tomorrow. My chemistry teacher created classes for google classroom, and he gave us work which was due when we come back from spring break, "IF we come back from spring break."Also, a few out-of-school activities got canceled for me as well.

There are some extraordinary lengths that kids will go just to avoid work, and I feel like a bunch of kids will start citing network connectivity issues just as an excuse, plus, we all know that students would get together whenever granted a reprieve from school (unless you have no friends, like me

) and that would just nullify the purpose of closing schools in the first place.

It will be a good time to start social media accounts, and youtube channels right now because people will be spending a lot of time on the internet

Getting a YouTube channel for your team going is a lot of fun- we have enjoyed trying to find every single video we have taken of our builds over the last decade and posting them on our channel. They are good memories and can help future teams when events cycle back around.

our school has switched to online learning. Right now, we are only required to use google classroom and complete given assignments by 11:59 PM on the same day. Honestly, there are a ton of schools that use google classroom and implementing online learning shouldn't be a huge infrastructure issue.

Right now, school is still on, but there's talk of school closing after spring break. The orchestra and band teachers are making everyone take home their music and instruments every night, in case of a sudden closing. Also, the teachers told us to bring home all our textbooks for spring break, in case we don't come back. The nearest case to my school is two counties away. Once it spreads to my city, I'm sure every public school will close.

My school is closed today and tomorrow and almost definitely next week (though no one will admit it...), and I must say that I'm excited for online stuff... school is basically 100% busy work for me, and I don't learn anything. Now, instead of having to sit through boring classes for 7 hours every day, I can spend 2 hours finishing all of my work and spend the rest of the time actually learning (i.e. scioly

).

However, I am probably one of the only people in the school who would use this potential extra time for learning (and, as DatSciolyBoi said, I have no friends >w< or at least any interest to spend time with them outside of school...), and I can see it being a big problem for most people. Also, it could be a problem because even though my area/school district is pretty rich, there are definitely some kids without access to a computer at home.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand yup all our Scouting stuff is canceled, which means no campout, which means earning Second Class will get pushed back AGAIN.

this online learning thing really sucks tbh. i've only finished 2 of my classes worth of work because of procrastination. It only took me like, 30 minutes of time to actually do the work. And I am really really bored right now.
