Can someone tell me exactly what a wave is and why i would want one? I'm a HUGE fan of google, so I know that whatever it is was made well, but I just want to know if it's worth the time to go through the processing of joining.

Coolio, I have a Wave account, so now I have about 8 invites. If anyone else wants to join, you could pm me, too.
Just pm me your Google Wave name (just your Google Account username + "@googlewave.com") and I'll invite you.
You have to have Google Chrome to use it, though.
