Context: "When I turned 'em on, the organ instantly started overloading my speakers, and I couldn't get the slider low enough to stop blaring 'em without losing the amplification of the choir, so I just muted the choir's inputs."

The joys of having one of the speakers from the organ pointed at the choir mics, and having no control of the organ's output from the media booth. And, to top it off, someone else had a second microphone in the pulpit, plus the pastor's wireless one, and the board for it was all of the way up front. And, that wiseacre (no, I don't mean "acre") decided it was a good idea to leave it on during the service. That would've been tolerable, if the pastor didn't use a high-gain, wireless microphone, and if that guy's speakers were loud enough to actually be heard beyond the front two pews.
