Re: Building events next year
I agree with andrewwski. Somehow I ended up as the balsa builder this year (and let me say that I'm not amazing) and I did bridge in 6th grade and that totally helped me with my basic skills (the monotous sanding, cuting and glueing) this year.

SO stressed!

Re: Building events next year
You shouldn't spend too much time perfecting something over the summer that will propably break rules for next year. Instead, you should work on designs because they can be modified to fit next year's rules.

Re: Building events next year
Haha, I probably should have put this in Study/Lab events, because those are what I'm starting, not the building events, at least not yet...Winkyeye wrote:you would... hehsean9keenan wrote:Is there anyone that's starting yet, even though there are no new rules?
Does anyone know if the event list that's up is Official? Or is there still a chance that the events could change (ie. did they have the meeting to decide events after or before Nationals?(The meeting where everyone is there?))

Re: Building events next year
AFAIK, that meeting was before nationals.
The event list is the official one.

I think it's official because they had 3 days after nationals that were scheduled for meeting so i think if there were changes there, the list would have been changed.

Is the events on the Event Wiki list offcial? or are they just regular 2007 events?

Re: Building events next year
The ONLY place 'official' SO information is posted on the web is the national website, www.soinc.org Any place else you find info may be informative, may be expert, may even be great advice, but it ISN'T official.
If the list in the WIKI and on the national website agree, great, if not, go with the national website.
