I disagree...they basically changed the topic from Global Warming to impact on forest biomes without technically changing the topic of "human impact on Earth." I think the event will be very different this year.

I was just basing it off of what my prior knowledge of the event was, not the exact rules, as it is my first year doing this event. ;)

Does anyone know any good resources for learning more about forest biomes? I've seen a lot of sites with stuff about remote sensing imagery, but not many for forests. I found some stuff on Wikipedia, but would like to go a lot more in-depth!

Have you tried the source list at the bottom of the Wikipedia page? (Please link!)

Also, the Campbell-Reese AP Biology textbook has some stuff about biomes, but not much.

What kind of stuff are you guys starting to put on your 5 page note sheets? So far, I've just copied a lot of stuff from the training handout (from the CD) and added a good diagram of the EM spectrum.

Also, to anyone else who has used the CD, what was up with that silk painting activity PowerPoint? It looks kind of fun, but a really random thing to put on the CD.

Does anybody have any suggestions about what to study or how to split the work up.
Or what to put on the notes?

I suggest not making things really light and bright colors because it's kind of distracting and hard to read!
But as far as what to study, check the remote sensing pages from the wiki ( http://scioly.org/wiki/Remote_Sensing ) and the official Science Olympiad web site ( http://soinc.org/remote_sensing_c ). They both have links for web sites with some good information.

Which test? I added the first one and it's an old test. So no, I do not have answers, sorry.
