Re: past and present fads
The funniest one we had at my school was in 3rd and 4th grades when everyone got into shooting rubber bands it went on for a while because everyone had some. This went on until the teacher got sick of picking rubber bands out of her hair and the principal banned them
. A similar thing also happened with Sharpies in 7th grade.

Re: past and present fads
haha that reminds me of communications class in 7th grade. we were listening to the teacher talk and one girl was bored so she was playing with a rubber band.. she was streatching it and letting it go so it snapped on her hand but one time it accidentaly flinged over and landed right in the teachers face!! he was like Danielle, why are you flinging rubber bands at me?? and he said it in a funny voice. she's like not the type of person to do something like that so it was kinda funny. it was one of those you had to be there moments tho

Mini-skirts with leggings has transformed into just leggings, minus the mini-skirt.

Elementary school- Pencil grips; fat, colorful shoelaces; scooters; gel pens; Trapper Keeper; overalls; Boba milk tea; spiky hair
Middle school- LiveSTRONG bracelet; every other gel bracelet; Abercrombie and Fitch Co. and its subsidiaries; faded jeans; baggy clothes; males showing their boxers
High school- males showing their boxers; piercings; Vans; Pinkberry and every other frozen yogurt place
That's what I remember growing up.

Re: past and present fads
Well, let's see here. I will just discuss the development of a single fad in my school.
2nd Grade: Driftwood sticks from the creek.
3rd Grade: Wild sticks peeled to resemble lightsabers.
4th Grade: Long pieces of oak molding for use as double-bladed lightsabers
5th Grade: Ben's stick as a ranged weapon. I was the only one who could touch it.
6th Grade: Age of Kings.
7th Grade: Long hazelnut sticks
8th Grade: Short oak sticks
9th Grade: Battlefield 1942
10th Grade to Present: Airsoft and short oak sticks
As you can probably tell, my school is very male-oriented. But as for the rest of the story, I will say that we like to do things our own way.
