How long will Geologic Mapping stay in? And will anything change with the event?
2021 Main Events:
Ornithology, Dynamic Planet, GeoMapping, Water Quality, Fossils, Sounds of Music, and Forensics

Keep in mind that this is all still pretty tentative. Usually it gets much more set in stone after some meetings after nationals. (Case in point: a few years ago Sounds of Music at this point in the season was planned to return the next year, but later the decision was made to hold off until new rules were tested more.)

Seems like this thread gets made earlier and earlier every year.

The National Executive Committee usually approves a tentative list of events around this time of the year. But you are correct that nothing is set in stone until the meetings immediately following the National Tournament, when the rules committees have a chance to assess and get input from State Directors.

Simple Machines should be fine I think for Division B. I really doubt that both Compound Machines and Simple Machines would be Division C events. Also, Simple/Compound Machines I think counts as a physics event rather than a build event, since Unome said that they are replacing Thermodynamics (whereas Mission Possible is a build event).
