In my opinion, an AP Biology book is better than any website I have seen. But if you insist on a webpage, the Kilburn one is very good. It might be a good idea to look at all of the links on the SOinc page, most are helpful and they will often link you to even more websites.

the rule about the reference sheet is definitely annoying but maybe they will make the tests harder. But....this is ecology...hard can it get?
What do you guys think will be asked about the biomes this year? Last year, the majority of questions focused on desert adaptations so I'm
wondering what to study about taigas and grasslands...

My bet would be adaptations for Grassland and Taiga. Since we have a reference sheet this year they could ask about specific species of grass or something equally gross.

Last year I honestly had 0 questions total between regionals and states on either deserts or grasslands.

Adaptations do rock. But learning scientific names of grass species and their characteristics do not rock. So far half of my 'cheat sheet' is dedicated to grassland grasses. Yuck.

The rules specify that there is no identification of species in this event. What do you think we will need to specifically know about grasslands and taigas?

Where specific species are found (tall, mixed, or short grass) what adaptations they havefor grasslands, specific uses, etc.

Where does it specifically say there is no identification of species? I may be blind, because I don't actually see any stipulation that says that. I have actually had previous ecology tests where we had to match pictures to the common names of desert flora. And last year I even had a question on my state test that asked for the scientific name of a grassland plant. But the national test didn't have any of that, so maybe my state is just stupid, and equally blind as me.
