Mason as low as 6th? South above north? Harriton that high?

Yeah so why is everyone putting Boca Raton in the 7th-9th range?
Provided Mason stacks, and the WW-P schools do not:
1. Troy
2. Mason
3. LASA
4. Harriton
5. Boca Raton
6. New Trier
7. WW-P North
8. Montgomery
9. WW-P South
10. Lower Merion

I can agree with that, however I would put New Trier above Boca.

People like to dismiss recent success as possible fluke in the face of history/tradition. Some very informed people underrated Mason last year because it was going to be their first time at Nationals despite their success suggested otherwise. Those being said, i think the parity is increasing in Science Olympiad. The placements may be shaped mostly by who bombs what. This may sound silly, but I think Troy was not very active in invitationals and it may make them more likely to fail in some events. I would not be shocked if they don't get in top 3 this time.

Edit: I need to start watching what I say lol
Demir, why do you say this? Troy has been extremely successful of late (Troy has placed first in every single tournament they've competed in in the last 2 years). Bombs can happen to any team. They don't happen often to Troy, and even when they do Troy's excellence in the rest of their events usually makes up for it.

WW-P schools will
probably stack. I don't think we've seen North fully stacked this season, which means that when they're at SOUP they will likely be
extremely strong. I would put them at least two places about South when it comes to stacked teams.
I would not be surprised if North edges out LASA. Given their meteoric success last year, I expect it to happen, actually.
I doubt Harriton will do super well this year, either. Assuming Harriton stacked A team for MIT and B team for the concurrent BVF invite, neither won against a WW-P school. And Montgomery has been losing to South's unstacked teams so there's no clear indication they would beat South stacked.
Sorry if I am obsessing over WW-P, it's the only schools I know really well. Good luck to all.

Has North stacked at all this season?
