Of course you are! 1580 SAT Score is legible for every, single, ivy league. You will have scholarships coming at you left and right. Good luck
Not necessarily - SAT scores alone won't get you through scholarships or the Ivy League. It's pretty easy to get a [near] perfect score if you keep grinding at it for ages, and even then, what's the point? There's so much more to your application than a standardized testing score. Essays and extracurricular show much more than your test score - your test score is just a baseline to make sure you won't flunk once you get there. I mean, I was a semifinalist for a fairly selective scholarship (wish I'd gotten it haha) and my SAT score wasn't a 1600.
But considering he does science olympiad I'm sure he does other extracurricular activities.
Yes, I do. I am likely to be the captain of our SciOly team next year ( either that, or VP under my astro partner; either way, we're going to have an epic year next year), I do robotics, I am an assistant patrol leader in my Boy Scout Troop, (think of it like a vp), but unfortunately won't be able to become an Eagle Scout until after college apps. I am a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I am in tutorial club and CSF. I will also be working at an aerospace/defense company this summer, as an intern.
Unfortunately, my GPA is not stellar (and I will not be posting that here...)

Back in my day we had three scores.
It has been said, but I will reiterate that the SAT score is just a number. At the extreme high end of the spectrum, variations don't really mean a lot; a 1500 is not statistically all that different from a 1600. While elite colleges like seeing a score in this range, all the other elements of an application are much more important, i.e. essays, application supplements, interests, extracurriculars, recommendations. So have fun comparing, but know that if you're 1400 or above, you're still in the 95th percentile of all scores, so you'll be A-OK.

I do Science Olympiad and almost no other ECs. Breadth is not necessary to get into a good college (though it may be needed if you're aspiring to a high-end ivy or something like MIT).

ASPL or APL there's a big difference...

Oops, meant to write ASPL
(I cycled between APL and PL for the last 2 years though)

Yeah makes sense, based on you comparing in to a VP.

Took the SAT my 7th grade year. Got 1600 on my first try, no studying.
2400 point scale

An alumni turned mentor at my robotics team keeps joking around that my 1580 doesn't even compare to his 2050 or something
