How do you guys form your cheat sheets?

I always had image formatting problems downloading things as Word Docs, so I download as a PDF, but idk maybe other people's computers are differentUTF-8 U+6211 U+662F wrote:The smallest on gdocs is size 6 unfortunately, but you have to download it anyway to print, so you might as well just open up your favorite text processor at that point and make the font size smaller.
(As for the importance of note sheets, I would not want to go through every bacterium on my notesheet and remember if it's Gram positive or negative or go through my dynamic planet notesheet and commit the geologic timeline to memory, including dates, although yes, the fundamentals should definitely be committed to memory.)
As a side note, I should probably memorize that geologic timeline at some point...
Also, idk if microbes or whatever has a list of which bacteria to study but it if it is then that's not a really long chart you have to make, but in my experience with DP and the geologic timeline, the amount of space it takes isn't that large compared to the 4 double sided sheets of paper, and you'll only have a couple of questions on them per test, so it's certainly important to keep adding as much detail as possible throughout the season but I still don't see why you would need that small a font size to do it...

Nope, and the diseases take up around 1.2 out of my 2 pages. Had a fun time making that...knottingpurple wrote:Also, idk if [disease] has a list of which bacteria to study

Okay, evidently different events have different note sheet requirements (this year both my note sheet events allowed 4 sheets of paper so yeah, that already is very different from 2 pages).UTF-8 U+6211 U+662F wrote:Nope, and the diseases take up around 1.2 out of my 2 pages. Agreed that 4 pages is pretty easy wrt space, likewise with 2 pages. It's mainly just a few 1-page events that get difficult with space, such as Microbes or A&P.knottingpurple wrote:Okay, evidently different events have different note sheet requirements (this year both my note sheet events allowed 4 sheets of paper so yeah, that already is very different from 2 pages).UTF-8 U+6211 U+662F wrote:Nope, and the diseases take up around 1.2 out of my 2 pages. Re: How do you guys form your cheat sheets?
you know, i have found some really good tips here by reading your post. thanks for sharing. the way you do it seems to be really efficient and time saving. would like to know if you do't mind me having questions in the future as you seem to knoe these things very well!knottingpurple wrote:I never really felt that note sheets were that important, for things like Remote Sensing I need constants and formulas because I'm too lazy to memorize them but I never really needed to go to as many lengths as everyone else seems to have to fit things in. I just stick to Google docs because the advantage of my partner having access to peptides and everything I do outweighs the larger font size - if I really needed to, I could always screenshot some of the text and shrink the image of the text smaller, but I don't, whereas there have definitely been problems with Word where somebody edits a version which is not the most recent version emailed to them and everything is a mess. And my printer can't do margins that are super tiny so we have that extra space and handwrite things if necessary. I also really like having my images in line with the text rather than collaged because it makes changing the image organisation so much easier - and I tend to go for several pages of images, with Remote especially, since they increased the page limit this year but you don't really need much information for that event, we just had samples of every sort of satellite image, labelled, organised, whatever, to make ID easier. And then in terms of color, I think I have a highlight color for definitions of terms, and then another for like headings of collections of terms, and if I need superheadings on that then I'll use another color, etc, but they're all the palest versions of whatever hue because really strong color highlights are annoying.

Arial Narrow at the smallest font size you can get ( 6 for Google, 4 for Microsoft)
I'm currently using Google Drawings for my meteorology cheat sheet. It allows you to not have to Finnick with page settings and other such things when formatting.

You can get up to 1 on Word I think, but I don’t recommend it.TheCowboyandhisArk wrote:Arial Narrow at the smallest font size you can get ( 6 for Google, 4 for Microsoft)
