Any video of 2:30+ flights?
I didn’t get a video of the 3:00 flights this year but last years Nationals winning flight is on YouTube.

Wow. Any idea of what rubber they used?

Are you saying you have that time? This is literally not possible.... I had a perfect flight in a small gym the other day and I barely got over 2 minutes (barely touched ceiling, went up and down slow)
Also, what are the highest times you've seen at invitationals?
2:45 is definitely possible. I've gotten 2:15 in a 22ft gym with 0.055 inch rubber and I can still put like 30 more winds. But I need even thinner rubber to not break my plane on the ceiling. There's another way to do it without even switching to even thinner rubber, but I can't tell anyone that.

Torque meter?

Even with really thin rubber like .052 it wouldn't LAST that long. .045 doesn't make the plane fly at all.
How????
I'm pretty sure 0.052 can last 3 minutes if you do it right(200 winds with a 1:15 winder). 0.045 might make your plane fly it's very well built and trimmed(Minimum weight, large circles, very light propeller, matching propeller pitch).

Torque meter?
It doesn't involve a torque meter. Just a technique that's really hard to master.

Is it that thing where halfway through the rubber a needle will drop?

Lol, torque BURNER.
Just... don't use that. Almost no one can do it well other than f1d and other OP flyers. Also, i've tried 3000 winds 0.052"... doesn't last for 3:00.

That's it, I don't know why I called it a torque meter.

Yes, the plane ascends, descends partially, then the torque burner kicks in and it ascends again.

It's used in low ceilings, so it essentially goes upwards twice.
