Rule 3a; "a. The Tower must be a single structure, with no separate or detachable pieces, constructed of wood and bonded by adhesive. No other materials are permitted" It a tower is "Constructed of wood, I'd infer that at least 50% needs to BE wood... When it says "Bonded" by adhesive, I'd logically deduce that this means that 2 pieces of wood are attached to each other with some form of glue. Based on this, it is not possible for a tower even be self supporting with only 2 columns. You would need at least 3. If one of these were to be constructed of nothing but glue, it would be connected to the other wooden columns by additional members made of glue. In this instance you would have one glue member connected to another glue member (i.e. bonded) with glue... this is a technically a violation of the rules, as only wood is to bonded with the adhesive, not other pieces made from adhesive. .
