What is the main difference between mud and musk turtles? Eyes are red in musk, brown in mud Gular scutes are extended in mud, not in musk Pectoral scutes are triangular in mud, squareish in musk Postorbital spots in musk turtles are behind the eye, while mud turtles have postorbital spots below the eye
