It does seem they went for some hot topics there, though, because Zika was a big deal two summers ago.

Have you looked at the Wiki? Many links to different websites, which are pretty useful.Jesusfather123 wrote:Can anyone please guide how to prepare for microbe mission this yr? Need recommendation of sites or book. Thank you

Read last season's topic for some discussion. If you're in C division, I recommend investing in a textbook. If in B division, you may be able to get by with Web pages.Jesusfather123 wrote:Can anyone please guide how to prepare for microbe mission this yr? Need recommendation of sites or book. Thank you

It's an amazing textbook overall, and has an outstanding section in microscopy

An interesting thing about N. fowleri is discussed here: https://academic.oup.com/femspd/article ... eri-amebae
I'm looking forward to more research into the possibility of latent N. fowleri infections.

It's honestly written at a good level for both B and C division test writing and notesheet making (we literally used images directly from the textbook)

Re: Microbe Mission B/C
Is Brock's Biology of Microorganisms a good textbook to use? I've seen great reviews on it.
Context: It's my first year in Div C. I did Microbe Mission last year and got first place at state (my team didn't make it to Nationals), but I think I really need to ramp up my studying.

You should go and visit the MM Question Marathon: viewtopic.php?f=266&t=10948
Usually my advice to beginners would be to start with easy stuff, like links on the Wiki and Campbell, but you're not a beginner. As for me, I basically did the majority of my studying on Wikipedia.
Also, have you tried Alberts' Molecular Biology of the Cell?
