I've seen this change. Wow. I'm shook. Recently built my first two piece tower, a lot harder than it looks to connect the two pieces. However I'm excited this season to experiment with design

I notice you edited your post. I'll not divulge the past contents, assuming it was for reasons of not spreading SOSI-begotten info (not that there was much revealed before you edited anyway).

Is there a rule regarding not spreading info from SOSI? If so, I don't know of these. And is info from SOSI allowed to be passed amongst teams and teamates? Because thats how I got my info...

I'd recommend against sharing anything that's not already public on scioly.org. As I understand, NSO generally doesn't want it shared but they aren't too concerned with people talking as your friends did since it's pretty minor - the main concern seems to be wide distribution of draft copies of rules. However, I'm not well-informed about what they actually think.

Policy is no sharing of details from proposed rules until rules are published. Speculation is allowed.

Problem with sharing draft rules is that they get used by teams and even event supervisors during the season. So NSO tries to limit distribution to reduce the issues that arise from normal rules changes that occur as a direct result of SOSI input.

As has been discussed in the past, don't sweat next years rules details if you want to practice over the summer. Use ANY year rules to improve your skills against any given event. Adapting to the new rules will then be relatively trivial.
