i make an agreement with everyone saying that if they take my spot for a building event, i get the medal. also if your going to build them a bad car, while build it anyways? i would say that you do scrambler and have someone else do bridge(but you get both medals if you win) because scrambler there's a lot behind setting it up, turning the wheels, knowing how to adjust, etc. But with bridge all you do is load sand into a bucket.
at nj states there are only 5 time slots, but you have to impound during the first time slot, and i had scrambler, bridge, and wright stuff to impound(luckily i got all the times i wanted to for each event, i actually had 6 people impound stuff) so i could only do my 4 events

There is no official limit to how many events you can do, except the number of time slots.
Your team might make a limit though. For us, one of our captains doesnt think anyone should have more than 4, though ive done 5 before and done well. But if you think you can handle a 6th, go for it.

i began with 5, but had the chance to take on a 6th, but everyone said that it would be wayyy too much (considering the homework load you get from honors geometry and physics in 8th grade)

Our regional has 5 slots, and our state has 6. Last year I did five on both levels, although I would have liked to do 6!

For the entire year i was practicing for 9 events and coaching another. I found the time and i'm quite active outside of SO. I also did a lot in the summer.

how are you in division "grad" if you went to states this year
we have way too much homework for 8 events, and don't have student coaches, plus our team is mostly 7th graders, so i have to deal with incompetent partners for some events, plus, our coach doesn't do anything except register, schedule, and and order stuff out of the budget, which is very low because our district spends way too much on athletics (we don't even get a bus to state, and last year when we went to nationals, the students paid the coaches trip fees, and the district only reimbursed each student $50 out of $475)... so all in all, i am on my own for all but my building event and one other event.

Pleiades is moving to Division C, but her high school doesn't have SO, so she isn't participating next year.
