Bernard,

So you can just cut out a hardwood template for what curve you want the rib to be and just cut and slide it down however thick you want the ribs and cut until you have enough? All you need is a knife, template, and ruler?

How do you add one of those darkened boxes that show what someone else said in your post? I'm trying to put that it to make a question clearer.

Click the quotation mark button in the top right of any post while reading. If you are already in the "POST A REPLY" pane, scroll down and click the quotation mark buttons in the "TOPIC REVIEW" pane.

The Finny 09 is in the Hip Pocket Builders Plan Gallery under the "Indoor - Other Classes. It is also posted earlier in this wiki as are my notes on possible concept modifications and rules required modifications to the plan.

One other possible modification to the Finny 09 would be to use Bill's F1M or Penny Plane curved leading edge wing tip plates. In my experience, curved leading edge wing tip plates are a very significant benefit when ceiling scrubbing or rafter banging, which are both risky things to do, but sometimes happen when pushing for a win.

I have downloaded the plan but some of the words are very fuzzy and unclear. Is there a better quality version of the plan?

Kyle,

The Finny 09 plan image from Hip Pocket is perfect when I view or print. I suspect that there is an issue with your computer.

Ok I see now. I was trying to read the tiny wording in the little box describing how to put on the tip plates. I kept on trying to magnify my screen with
ctrl shift + but it was just bigger blurry words. I found a magnify button on the pdf that magnified it and kept the quality.

Should the leading edge of the wing be rounded and the trailing edge be sharp? That's what the Finny 09 plan implies. I see that on my freedom flight 2017 plane, the leading edge is sharp and the trailing edge is flat. What should the proper shapes for the edges be?
