General Chat works fine. We have threads like "How long have you been in/involved with SO?" there. You're one a website called scioly.org. Science Olympiad related posts are to be expected, even in General Chat.

Say, for example, I wanted to start a thread about recruiting for one's SO team. That isn't about any event and it's not about a tournament, so it doesn't fit into any of those forums, but it isn't exactly General Chat since it's still about SO. Where would a thread like that go?

Thanks!
how would u recruit for SO on here? most people on here are already in SO

In the past, there have been a lot of threads asking how people run recruiting within their schools, how teams are structured, where funding comes from, etc.
I assume that's what he means by a recruiting thread.

my old account (binary010101) doesn't work anymore. I think somehow the password got "deleted" as it keeps telling me that the password on my account didn't get transferred over.

What is the exact error message?

Your OBB account did not have an email address associated with it, so you can't reset the password.
