gyourkoshaven wrote:Just made a grasslands section for the wiki. I'll continue. Try to keep the format if you'd like to edit as well.

EDIT: It is now the longest event wiki featured on the main page :D (Would be the longest overall if it weren't for DS and his "Series on Mission Possible" :x )
Wow... that's really long. Maybe it would be easier to read if it was split up into separate pages. Is that possible? E.g., one page for grasslands, one for taiga, and one for general ecology.

I could do that, but I don't think it's necessary yet...Plus I'd have to copy the entire glossary and put it in 3 seperate pages.

I wouldn't do it though until I put more in on Taiga...Maybe later.

EDIT: Also send extra cookies to robotman who made the glossary into a table, and combined the definitions that used to be up top and the ones at the bottom into one thing. :)

It looks great! How do you have the time to type up all that?

I think the bold headings are enough to split it up for now. I find it pretty easy to read and the loads of pictures are helpful too.

I agree, it does look great! I just looked at it again, and now I think that the headings work fine.

Where did you get all of the pictures and information about the grassland organisms?

For some reason I don't quite understand, I wasn't allowed to do anything social Saturday night, and robotman told me to stop harassing tiger on chat and do something productive.

Ehh not really.

Whenever robotman watches over eyeball on an IRC channel, a kick-ban fight generally ensues.

Ahem...back on topic, people? Less spam (gyourkoshaven, this means you), more relevant discussion.

Very good idea.

Does anyone know what adaptions the lynx has to live in the taiga?

The only one I know off the top of my head is that they have really big paws, to navigate their way through snow in the forests. (Stay tuned for more)

EDIT: Ok I was right about the hands (In fact some are bigger than the hands of a grown man :? )

Other Adaptations:
The ones that live in the taiga in the north have developed heavy, light colored fur for warmth and camoflauge.
To make up for their lack of agility and speed, they have developed excellent hearing and extra teeth, so that they can still hunt effectively.
