Re: Dynamic Planet
they are a good starting place, but they don't go far enough in depth, i prefer college textbooks, or the textbook i get from school, they usually cover the basics and go a little more in depth

Re: Dynamic Planet
You use college textbooks? I don't think my team could afford that. I use my school textbooks and they always seem to work pretty well.rocketman1555 wrote:they are a good starting place, but they don't go far enough in depth, i prefer college textbooks, or the textbook i get from school, they usually cover the basics and go a little more in depth

Re: Dynamic Planet
High school textbooks probably go into enough depth for most events in division B, but I'd recommend college textbooks for division C. You can usually find a couple good used textbooks for under $30 to buy online.

Old Events:
Astronomy, Remote Sensing (Both Mars and Global Warming), Dynamic Planet (Oceanography/Earthquakes and Volcanoes), It's About Time, Technical Problem Solving, and I really don't want to count, but did fail at-Fermi Questions.

Re: Dynamic Planet
usually the library will have a college textbook, and check half-priced books, they usually have them relatively cheap, and most science teachers have some of their own

Re: Dynamic Planet
Can someone clarify with me exactly what kind resource we are allowed to bring? The rules say one piece of paper, but the wiki says this was changed.
